Fanshawe College ranks above the provincial average when it comes to student satisfaction, graduation, and success finding a job, according to a recent survey.
The results for the key performance indicators (KPI) survey for Ontario's colleges puts Fanshawe's graduate employment rate at 87.6 per cent. That is the second highest ranking among large colleges in the province and exceeds the provincial average by two percentage points.
"We are very proud of this year’s KPI results," said Fanshawe President Peter Devlin. "These important survey results indicate Fanshawe is an education and training leader in Ontario."
In other key findings, Fanshawe scored a 75.5 per cent student satisfaction rate, above the province-wide 73.4 per cent average. The overall graduation rate at Fanshawe ranks first among other large colleges in Ontario at 68.8 per cent, two percentage points above the provincial average.
Employers were also happy with the skills graduates entering the workforce acquired at Fanshawe, ranking their overall satisfaction at 94.2 per cent. That was a 3.6 per cent increase compared to last year's survey results.
"While the results clearly show we're doing a great job, we also continue to look for ways to improve," said Devlin. "We remain committed to providing leading-edge programs and services and preparing graduates for careers that meet the needs of employers."
The annual KPI survey is used by potential students as an additional tool to help them select which college they would like to attend. It also allows colleges to gauge their success and identify opportunities for improvement.
