Simcoe man gets 'howling' mad at neighbour

It wasn't the Werewolves of London howling at the moon over the weekend, just a disgruntled neighbour in Simcoe.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Saturday between the hours of 2 a.m. and 2:30 a.m., a 41-year-old Simcoe resident went to his neighbour's home and began to bark and howl like a dog outside of the window.

Police said the man had become tired of hearing his neighbour's dogs barking at all hours of the day and night and decided to wake his neighbour up by continually barking like a dog himself.  The noise also caused the neighbour's dogs to bark excessively inside the home.

Officers were called later that morning at around 7:55 a.m. and spoke to both the men involved in the dispute. Police were able to mediate a resolution between the two neighbours, but cautioned them about the Norfolk County Noise Bylaw.
