Alleged Groping Suspect Identified

London police say they have identified a man suspected of inappropriately touching at least one person.

Investigators say they have pinpointed the suspect accused of groping a woman walking in the Sherwood Forest section of the city on July 25. The woman was on Gainsborough Rd. near Limberlost Rd. when she encountered the man around 1:45pm. Concerned that the man was confused the woman offered her assistance. The man then grabbed her by the wrists, said something in an unknown language, and touched the woman inappropriately. She was able to break free and run away.

Police released a photo of the suspect on Monday, which resulted in two more women coming forward to report similar instances of improper touching. However, police did not say if the suspect they have identified is connected to the other two incidents.

The investigation is ongoing and no additional information has been released. Anyone with information on any of these incidents is asked to call London police at (519) 661-5670, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
