Civic Holiday Brings A Few Closures

Beaches and campgrounds are sure to be packed as Londoners enjoy another summer long weekend.
Monday marks the Civic holiday, which is a day off for some but not for others as it isn’t a statutory holiday. Nevertheless there are a few closures to keep in mind
Here is a list of what’s open and what’s closed in London on the Civic Holiday:
CLOSED:
Government offices (municipal, provincial, and federal)
Canada Post (no mail delivery)
Banks
All London Public Library branches (including the Central Library)
No garbage and recycling collection
OPEN:
White Oaks Mall (9:30am – 6pm), Masonville Place (10am-6pm), and Westmount Shopping Centre (9:30am-5:30pm)
Select LCBO outlets
Most Beer Stores – 11am – 6pm
Labatt Retail Store – 9:30am -11pm
Drug stores
Grocery stores
Costco Wholesale
Fanshawe Pioneer Village
Fanshawe Conservation Area (for campsite availability call 1-866-668-2267)
City spray pads and wading pools
Movie theatres
London Ribfest in Victoria Park (final day)
The LTC will be running on a Sunday schedule
Normal service returns on Tuesday.
