An Elgin County resident is lucky to be alive after a plane crashed into a Norfolk County field.
The Ontario Provincial Police say emergency crews were called on Friday after the small plane crashed into a field at a Byerlay Side Rd. address, and came to a rest upside down.
Police say the 72-year-old male pilot from Elgin County suffered minor injuries in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation and Transport Canada has been notified.
