Rusty Nails Left On Port Dover Beach

Provincial police are looking for suspects after an act of mischief that could have led to injury.

Norfolk OPP say they got a call around 3pm Monday from concerned citizens who reported finding dozens of rusty nails that had been placed along the shoreline at the main beach area in Port Dover.

Several people, including parents of small children, found the nails and turned them over to police. OPP estimate there were about 100 nails in total.

"The OPP are continuing to investigate and is seeking the assistance of the public with this investigation. If anyone has any information or can identify those responsible, they are being asked to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122," police said in a statement issued Tuesday.
