London police are again reminding people to secure their homes after another series of break-ins at homes in the area around Western University.
Police say there were six reports and break-ins at homes known to be off-campus student housing between May 5 and July 1.
"The incidents occurred during school hours or statutory holiday periods and entry was gained by smashing glass. Suspect(s) target electronics, cash/credit cards and alcohol, sometimes consuming alcohol at the scene," police said in a statement issued Thursday.
Police have issued similar warnings in the past after student housing was targeted by thieves. Last October, police reported break-ins at student housing on Thurman Circle and Fleming Dr. In November, a break-in at a home on Patricia St. led to an assault of a resident.
Anyone with any information about the recent break-ins in the area of Western Rd. is asked to call London police or Crime Stoppers.
