St. Thomas police say a charge has been laid after an unprovoked attack with a skateboard.
A young girl is accused of hitting another person in the head with a skateboard at a St. Thomas skate park.
Police were called about an assault in the park on Caso Crossing just after 8pm on Tuesday. Investigators determined that a male was struck over the head with enough force to knock him off of his bicycle. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The suspect and victim did not know each other and it is believed the attack was unprovoked, according to police.
A girl, who can not be identified because of her age, is charged with assault with a weapon.
