Three people are facing nearly a dozen charges after almost $400,000 worth of cocaine, hashish, and marijuana was seized by London police in three coordinated raids.
Officers with the Guns and Drugs Section, which includes members from the RCMP, searched a home on Raleigh Cres. in London, a nail salon on Talbot St. in St. Thomas, and a home on Dundas St. East in Toronto on Friday. Roughly 2 kg of cocaine, eight kg of hashish, 30 g of crack cocaine, 1.795 kg of marijuana, 3 g of psilocybin, and 1.758 kg of phenacetin were seized. The drugs are worth a combined $396,260.
Police also turned up approximately $50,000 in cash.
A 31-year-old man and 32-year-old woman, both from London, and a 41-year-old man from Toronto are charged with possession of a Schedule I substance the purpose of trafficking, conspiracy to commit trafficking in a Schedule I substance, and possession of proceeds exceeding $5000 obtained by crime.
The Toronto man is also charged with possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking and unlawfully possessing a Schedule III substance.
All three people charged are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
