London Man Charged In Tinder Date Extortion

Extortion and sexual assault charges have been laid against a 27-year-old London man accused of threatening to post intimate images of a woman he met online unless she performed sexual acts or gave him money.

A woman reported the demand to London police over the weekend. She told officers she had met the man on the dating app Tinder and on February 14 he threatened to release the intimate photos if she didn't perform sexual acts, provide money, and/or personal property to him.

Police say the suspect in the case used the online name “Adaskio.” He is also known to use ‘El Hese” and “Lol Atyou” on Snapchat. The man is known to frequent London, Waterloo, as well as Edmonton and Calgary, in Alberta.

Investigators believe other women could have been targeted by the same individual and are asking anyone who feels they have been victimized to call their local police service.

A suspect was arrested in relation to the case on Saturday night. During the arrest, police also seized 6 g of cocaine, 22 g of crack cocaine, 8 g of marijuana, and pepper spray.

Adam Dabrowski is charged with extortion, sexual assault, publishing intimate images without consent, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Dabrowski, who was remanded in custody during a Sunday court appearance, returns to court on Thursday.
