Canadians at resorts in this area are being asked to stay at their resorts and not leave on their own except when traveling to and from the airport. If you are with a tour group, stick to the planned itinerary and don't wander off on your own.
A similar alert has been issued for British citizens traveling to Jamaica, while the United States has had one in place since January 10.
