Road Rage Ends In Hit And Run

Provincial police are looking for the driver of a pickup truck they say intentionally crashed into another vehicle in Belmont and then took off.

Elgin OPP were called about a dangerous driver on Belmont Rd. near Seventh Ave. before 4:30am Wednesday. Police a black Ford F-250 pickup truck crashed into a red Honda SUV on purpose and then left the scene, headed south on Belmont Rd.

No one was injured in the collision but the SUV was damaged.

The incident between the two vehicles is believed to have started after the pickup pulled out of the Husky gas station near Hwy. 401.

The driver of the pickup is described as a white male, 35-40 years old with short hair. Police say the pickup is likely to have damage to the front passenger side bumper.
