Charge Laid After Demonstrators Clash

A charge has now been laid in connection with Saturday's clash between an anti-Islam group and anti-hate demonstrators outside London city hall.

The rally was held by Pegida, or Patriots of Canada Against the Islamization of the West.

The group was met by anti-hate protesters and police ended up taking two people into custody.

One person was released without charges, but police say a 24-year-old London man is now charged with assault. The victim received minor injuries.
