Knights To Celebrate Life Of Long-Time Trainer
The life of one of the most influential members of the London Knights’ history is being celebrated.
The Knights hockey club is hosting a celebration of life on July 11, for long-time Knights trainer Don “Branks” Brankley, who passed away on June 16 at the age of 69.
Photos and videos of Brankley will be shown during the celebration, and speeches will be given by members of the London Knights, London Knights Alumni, and other important figures in Brankley’s life.
The celebration will be open Knights alumni as well as the public. The event will take place at Budweiser Gardens from 6pm-8pm, with members of the public being asked to enter through Gate 1.
Brankley started his tenure with the Knights in 1970, just five years after the start of the London franchise. He remained part of the organization until the end of the 2007-2008 season.
