Nearly 20 UFO Sightings In London

While there were no reports of little green men, there were a number of strange, bright lights spotted over the skies of London last year, according to an annual report of UFO sightings.

The 2016 Canadian UFO Survey, which is compiled by Winnipeg-based Ufology Research, found 18 sightings of unidentified flying objects reported in London. The city is tied with Calgary and Quebec City for the seventh highest number of sightings in the country.

The majority of those sightings were classified as a simple point source of light. That was the most popular UFO shape reported across the county in 2016. Other shapes reported include triangle, ball, cigar, and fireball.

Most of the UFO reports came in during the summer months, with seven in August alone.

On August 8, someone contacted UFOINFO about red, green, and white blinking lights in a triangle in the sky. Two days later, a second person reported seeing the same colour and formation of lights.

Other sightings involved, blue, white, red and orange flashing lights, a glowing blue curved line moving slowly, and a blue aircraft that vanished.

Across the region, four sightings were reported in Woodstock, two in St. Thomas, and one Aylmer and Ingersoll.

In total, there were 1,131 sightings in Canada. Of those, 74% were classified as having insufficient evidence, 1% were explained, while 4% were unexplained.
