Spitfires Down Knights 3-2 In OT

The Windsor Spitfires scored a 3-2 overtime victory against the London Knights on Thursday, to take a 3-1 playoff series lead.

Graham Knott scored in the first period to give Windsor a 1-0 lead, but Janne Kuokkanen and Evan Bouchard both scored in the second to give the Knights the advantage.

Gabriel Vilardi tied things up at 2-2 with a goal for the Spitfires with less than four minutes left in the second frame.

After no scoring in the third, the game was forced into OT, where Knott scored the game winner, and his second goal of the night, 5:58 into extra time.

Windsor goaltender Michael DiPietro made 31 saves out of 33 shots on net, while London goalie Tyler Parsons made 30 saves out of 33 shots on net.

The Knights will try to stave off elimination when they take on Windsor in Game 5 of the best-of-seven series on Friday. The puck drops at 7:30pm in London.
