Pedestrian Killed In Hit And Run

Provincial police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that hit and killed a pedestrian in Delhi.

Norfolk OPP were called to King St. just after 6:30am on Friday after an eastbound vehicle hit the unidentified pedestrian. Police say the vehicle involved took off after the collision. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

Technical Traffic Collision Investigators and the OPP Forensic Identification Section are assisting with the investigation.

A section of King St. between Queen St. and James St. will be closed until approximately 5:30pm as police continue to investigate.

Police are asking anyone who was travelling through the area between 5:30am and 7am to give them a call at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers are 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
