Man Arrested For Allegedly Defrauding Seniors
Police have arrested Michael French for allegedly defrauding seniors in local retirement homes.
Sometime between December 2015 and August 2016, nine reports of fraud were filed – all of which were happening at senior residences and retirement homes.
Police say during this time a male or female attended the homes posing as a personal support worker and entered without authorization.
Debit and credit card information had been taken from the seniors and used without consent.
On September 7, 31-year-old Amanda Albert turned herself into police on numerous fraud related charges.
The London Police Service are reminding people to remain vigilant, make sure identification is shown, and that proper procedures are followed at these types of establishments.
The investigation is ongoing.
