UPDATE: Murder Charge Laid Following Death In St. Thomas

One man has been charged and police are looking for another following the death of a 20-year-old man in St. Thomas.

Police were called to an apartment at 337 Talbot St. around 12:45am Thursday to assist EMS personnel who had responded to a medical emergency.

William “Billy” Lamers, 20, of St. Thomas was taken to St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital where he later died. An autopsy conducted on Thursday has confirmed that Lamers died as a result of sharp force trauma.
