Men Charged After Stolen Car Crashes

Two men are charged after London police say a stolen car crashed into two other cars and a tree.

Just after 10pm Monday, police got a call about a stolen car on Ridout St. S.

Not long after, a 911 call came in saying a vehicle had hit two unoccupied vehicles in the area of Bruce St. and Elmwood Ave. Damage is estimated at $30,000.

Then, around 11pm, there were several 911 calls reporting that a vehicle had hit a tree on Tweedsmuir Ave. Two men ran from the car and were chased by several citizens.

One of the pursuers was cut by a tool that was being carried by one of the men and suffered minor injuries.

Officers later arrested two suspects in a nearby wooded area.

Marshall Cornelius, 25, of London is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, resisting arrest, assaulting a peace officer, and assault with a weapon.

Robert Cornelius, 28, also of London is charged with possession of property obtained by crime and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
