Snow Squall Warning Ended

Update, 4:20 am:  Environment Canada has ended the snow squall warning for London-Middlesex.

The London area is going to see another blast of winter on Sunday.

Environment Canada has issued a snow squall warning for London and Middlesex County. The weather agency says lake effect flurries have developed and are intensifying to squalls that are expected to last throughout the afternoon and into the evening. The wind is expected to become northerly overnight, shifting the snow squalls to regions south of Lake Huron.

Forecasters say some areas could see 5-10cm of accumulation as a result of the squalls. However, the bigger concern will be reduced visibility because of heavy snowfall and blowing snow.

The squalls are expected to weaken on Monday afternoon.
