CUPE 101, City Of London Reach Agreement

The union representing striking inside workers and the City of London have reached a tentative agreement.

CUPE 101 and city officials announced the agreement Sunday afternoon.

Statements from both parties say no further details regarding the agreement will be released until ratification votes have been held. Members of CUPE local 101 will vote on Wednesday, July 22, at 11 am.

Officials from both sides were set to return to the bargaining table Sunday with a provincial mediator.

About 750 inside city workers walked off the job May 25 in a dispute over issues such as wages and scheduling.

Sunday marked the 56th day of the work stoppage.
