Weather Causes Havoc On Roads

Police are scrambling to keep up with multiple collisions in Middlesex County.

The Ontario Provincial Police says a two-vehicle collision, and a separate ten-vehicle collision, closed Dundas St. from Crumlin Side Rd. to Shaw Rd. in Thames Centre for most of the afternoon on Saturday.

The initial two-vehicle crash sent a female driver to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  In a separate ten-vehicle crash in the same area, another woman was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Dundas St. was closed for around four hours but has since been reopened. Both crashes are still under investigation.

The Ontario Provincial Police says a five-vehicle pile-up closed Napperton Rd. in Adelaide Metcalfe.

Police say the crash occurred between School Rd. and Seed Rd. on Saturday around 1:48pm.

Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries, but were treated and released at the scene.

Napperton Dr. was closed until around 4pm, but it has since been reopened.

The Ontario Provincial Police says two collisions on Littlewood Rd. in Middlesex Centre have sent two people to hospital.

Police say the first collision occurred on Saturday around 11:27am and involved five vehicles. Two woman involved in the crash were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The second collision occurred east of the first crash and involved four motor vehicles. However, no injuries were reported.

Littlewood Rd. between Carriage Rd. and Bodkin Rd. was closed was for several hours but has since been reopened.
