Londoner With Brain Injury Flown Back Home

A London family have been successful in their attempt to move their son back home after he suffered a severe brain injury in Vancouver.

On the crowdfunding webpage dedicated in his honour, Alex Lozanski's family posted that he was on his way back to London.

Lozanski's family created the page back in December, asking for $35,000 to fly the 30-year-old to London on a private medical flight. After passing the $25,000 mark, the family posted that he had completed the journey.

The 30-year-old sustained his injury in September when he was attacked by a 41-year-old, who was later charged with aggravated assault.

This is the family's message:

FANTASTIC NEWS!!!

ALEX IS COMING HOME TODAY!!!!!!

Alex is currently in transit with a great medical team at his side. He is due to arrive in London in a few hours and will be settling into University Hospital.

With the help of many people at Fox Air and Vancouver General Hospital, transport was made possible working with what funds we had raised so far. A small improvement in Alex's condition (his tracheostomy was removed this week) helped make this possible as well.

We cannot begin to express what it has meant to our family to know that so many people care, this could not have happened without you!!!!! A heartful thanks to all of you who have given your generous donations, prayers and many words of encouragement.

Miracles do happen and GOD is good!!!!

Please keep Alex in your prayers as he continues on his road to recovery!!
