London Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash

A 59-year-old London man is dead after crashing his motorcycle into a pick-up truck in Central Elgin.
The incident happened just after 4:15pm Saturday afternoon, about 500 m west of Fairview Rd.
Elgin County OPP say the victim lost control of his bike, slide approximately 50 m before colliding with the back of the truck when it stopped to turn. Police say the force of the impact trapped the driver of the motorcycle under the truck.
Michael Turvery was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 35-year-old London man driving the pick-up truck wasn’t injured.
A post mortem examination is currently being scheduled.
