A teenager has been changed for driving almost 40 km/h over the speed limit, while a passenger was in his trunk.
The Woodstock Police Service says on Wednesday around 2pm, officers received a report of a 2005 Honda Civic having too many passengers in the area of Dundas St. and Wellington St. in Woodstock.
About 20 minutes later, a patrol officer clocked the Honda traveling 88 km/h in a 50 km/h zone on Finkle St. near Alberta Ave. The vehicle was stopped and found to have seven passengers, including one riding in the trunk.
A 17-year-old has been charged with stunt driving and his licence has been suspended for seven days. The vehicle has also been impounded for seven days. Two of the passengers were charged with failing to occupy a position with a seat belt.
