Stolarz Suspended For 8 Games

A high stick to the back of Joshua Ho-Sang’s head has proven costly for Anthony Stolarz and the London Knights.

The Ontario Hockey League announced Wednesday afternoon that the Knights goalie will be suspended for eight games for his actions in Game 3 of the Knights’ playoff series with Windsor.

Stolarz swung his stick at Ho-Sang after the Spitfires forward jabbed at him after Stolarz had covered the puck in the first period of Tuesday night’s game.

Stolarz released the following statement after the Ontario Hockey League’s announcement today:

“I apologize for my actions on Tuesday night. It’s an unfortunate situation and in no way did I intend to injure my opponent, Joshua Ho-Sang.”
