Home Invasion Suspects Charged

St. Thomas police say all the suspects in a violent home invasion have now been arrested and charged.

Around 7pm on July 8, four males and two females barged into an apartment in north St. Thomas, looking for a 26-year-old who had been involved in an altercation earlier in the day.

After hearing the group enter his apartment, the man climbed out a bedroom window and fell four storeys. He broke his ankle and suffered a fractured back.

A neighbour who came to help was assaulted as the group was leaving. He suffered a broken nose and fractured orbital bone.

After the incident, St. Thomas police announced they had arrested and charged 28-year-old Nicole Clark and 34-year-old Craig Scratch and were looking for 29-year-old James Slaughter, 35-year-old Chris Doxtator, a 17-year-old girl, and an unidentifed male.

On Thursday afternoon, police issued a news release saying all of the suspects had been arrested and charged with:

  • Break and enter to commit assault
  • Break and enter with intent to commit and indictable offence
  • Assault causing bodily harm
