Three weeks after his body was found in Thames Centre, a suspect has been arrested in the murder of Robert St. Denis.

The 51-year-old’s body was found June 25 at his home on Westminster Dr. On Thursday, Middlesex OPP announced a suspect had been arrested in Chatham.

Stephen Douglas Gautreau, 48, of no fixed address is charged with second degree murder. He’ll appear in court on Friday.

Police have still not said how St. Denis died except to say that his death was a homicide. That determination was made after an autopsy on June 26.

After his body was found, police issued a public safety warning, asking everyone in the area to lock their doors and windows and be alert.

Police are still investigating and are asking anyone with any information to call 1-855-677-4636, a toll free number established for this investigation
