Man Falls From Window During Home Invasion
Police are searching for four suspects following a break and enter at an apartment in St. Thomas.
Police say on July 8, four men and two women broke into the north end apartment looking for a 26-year-old man.
Investigators believe the seven people were involved in an incident earlier in the day.
The man fell four storeys when he tried to escape through a bedroom window after hearing the group enter his apartment. He fractured his back and broke his ankle.
According to police, a neighbour was assaulted by the group when he offered help. As a result, he suffered a broken nose and an orbital bone fracture.
Craig Scratch, 34, and Nicole Clark, 28, were arrested and face charges of:
- break and enter commit assault
- break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence
- assault cause bodily harm
An arrest warrant has been issued for 29-year-old James Slaughter, 35-year-old Chris Doxtator, and a 17-year-old female, all of St. Thomas, for the same offences.
Slaughter is also wanted in connection to another home invasion a day later.
Police are still looking for another unidentified man.
