London Knights Reflect On Season

As the London Knights' season comes to an end, the future of some players is in question.

For a handful of players, this week's loss was the last time wearing the green and gold as many will be overage next season.

"At the end of the year, obviously losing sucks, but that's not the toughest part," says Knights Captain Max Domi. "The toughest part is realizing that you're not going to be with that team ever again, so letting that sink in is tough."

But a few players are moving on to higher caliber hockey.

"I think I'm going to the Toronto Marlies for the rest of this season," says Forward Matt Rupert. "I'm not sure if they have signed me yet, but I'll see what happens"

As for Max Domi, he says he is looking forward to taking the next few weeks off before training for the Arizona Coyotes' opening game in October.

"I'm not really thinking about it too much right now, I'm just spending some time with the guys, but I'll get back to it in a few weeks and get ready for the next chapter, which is hopefully with the Arizona Coyotes," says Domi.

Max Domi, Jack Hidi, Matt Rupert, Josh Sterk, Tait Seguin Aaron Berisha, Joel Wigle, Julius Bergman, Nikolas Dampier, and Michael Giugouaz will be overage next for the next OHL season.

The Knights were eliminated in last night's game on home ice after being swept by the Erie Otters four games straight in the Western Conference semi-finals.
