Suspicious Fire On Manning Drive
March 13, 2015 5:30am
A vacant house was fully aflame when London firefighters were called out on Thursday night just after 9pm.
Flames were shooting from all openings and heavy smoke was coming out of the structure at 4025 Manning Dr. near White Oak Rd.. Six fire crews responded, using two tankers to shuttle water to the scene because there are no fire hydrants in the area. There were concerns that the building could collapse. No one was inside the home and no firefighters were hurt.
The London Fire Department says the fire’s cause is suspicious and police officers are guarding the scene pending the arrival of investigators on Friday morning.
Damage is estimated at $50,000.
