Expense claims by four London councillors on their way out of City Hall at the end of last term, have a newcomer calling for changes.
A review of city politician expenses is already underway, but on Tuesday afternoon, Josh Morgan will formally present his additional ideas. They include tighter deadlines for filing claims so big lump-sum expenses aren't submitted all at once. Also, Morgan would like a hard cap on how much of the $15,000 budget can go toward vehicle expenses and preventing expense claims between the date the election is called and the end of term.
The four who weren't re-elected - Stephen Orser, Sandy White, Bud Polhill and Joe Swan - submitted receipts for new tires as their term at City Hall came to an end.
