Local Philanthropist Norton Wolf Passes Away

London business man and philanthropist Norton Wolf has died at age 87.

Wolf and his wife Lucille are longtime supporters of St. Joseph's Health Care, making a $1-million donation to create the dedicated centre for St. Joseph's Breast Care Program. The Norton and Lucille Wolf Breast Cancer Centre is named in their honour.

The pair also created The Lucille and Norton Wolf Health Research Day.

Wolf was heavily involved in real estate development. He founded Carlton Realty Ltd. and served on the City of London Development Advisory Board for 18 years.

He was inducted into the London business Hall of Fame in 2001.

His son, Ronald Wolf, founded ICORR Properties International. The company's web site lists the 87-year-old as semi-retired, but still involved in ICORR's international dealings.

St. Joseph's Health Care announced Wolf's sudden death in a post on its web site.

Funeral arrangements have not been set.
