Boys Wearing Pyjamas Flee Home After Setting Fire

An early morning fire in a home in the Highbury Ave and Commissioners Rd. area was apparently sparked by two young boys playing with matches who ran away, under dressed for the bitter cold.

London Fire Dept. spokesman Rick Jefferson tells Blackburn News the 911 call came in shortly after midnight when smoke detectors went off in the home on Banbury Rd.  One of the adults in the home attempted to put out the fire, and later noticed that the boys, ages 8 and 11, were missing. London police searched the area and found the children, wearing only their pyjamas, several blocks away at White Oaks Mall. The boys were taken to hospital as a precaution. No one in the home was hurt. No damage estimate is available yet.
