Orchestra London Planning Pop Up Shows

Despite financial troubles and an uncertain future, the musicians of Orchestra London will be playing pop up concerts across London in the coming weeks.

The group has taken to social media web sites such as Twitter and Facebook to promote live music after two shows were cancelled this past weekend.

Those who run the organization have been unable to secure the second installment of a $1-million donation. This means there is no money to pay performers and it is unclear if the orchestra will exist in the new year.

Musicians will perform tonight at 6pm at the Grand Theatre.

"No matter where we play or what the circumstances, we remain committed to sharing the power and beauty of live music with all Londoners," reads a news released posted on their Facebook page.

Orchestra London gets $500,000 in city money in each year.

It is expected organizers will appeal to the city for more money to keep the orchestra going.
