Lightning Win Fourth Straight

The London Lightning wrapped up a successful weekend with a 113-102 over the Power in Mississauga on Sunday afternoon.

The win was the Lightning's fourth straight. The team is now 5-1 on the season.

Marvin Phillips led the Lightning with 33 points. Johnathan Mills chipped in 25 points and 14 rebounds.

“This was a tough, physical, high intensity game," said Mills. "I think we played good defense and executed well on our offense. We never got down on ourselves, we uplifted one another and that’s what makes this road win feel so good”.

The win came after the Lightning set a league attendance record at their game at Budweiser Gardens on Saturday night. A crowd of 8,473 fans, many dressed in purple to take part the Shine the Light On Woman Abuse campaign, turned out to see the Lightning beat the Island Storm.

The Lightning won't have much time to savour the success of the weekend. They're back in action Wednesday in Windsor. The Lightning return to Budweiser Gardens on Sunday. The team has announced it is opening the upper bowl of the arena in anticipation of a big crowd.
