Frigo Murder Suspect Appears In Court

The suspect in the shooting death of a 70-year-old man at a conservation area near Clinton has been remanded in custody.

Boris Panovski, 70, appeared in court in Goderich on Monday afternoon. He was was arrested on Sunday as he re-entered Canada at Pearson International Airport in Toronto.  Police charged him with first degree murder and attempted murder. His next court appearance will be via video link on October 6.

The charges stem from the killing of Donato Frigo of Caledon East, who was shot to death while riding a horse outside Clinton on September 13. His female companion was wounded.  Last Thursday a Canada-wide warrant was issued for Panovski, a former hairdresser and dog trainer whom police say was known to Frigo.
