Charges Laid In Migrant Worker Shooting

Two men are facing charges after a migrant worker was hit by a stray bullet in Norfolk County.

Emergency crews were called to a farm on Norfolk County Road 21 around 2:40pm on Saturday. A 52-year-old man working in a field had been shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police learned that a number of people were target practicing with rifles along a Concession Road 13 address south of County Road 21.

After an investigation, OPP  charged 27-year-old Bryon James Sennesael of Norfolk County and 29-year-old Rudolph Dietl of Grimsby with careless use of a firearm.
