London police are investigating after a suspicious package was discovered in the city’s east end.

Police were called around 4pm to Trafalgar St. at Marconi Blvd. Officers blocked off Trafalgar St. between Clarke Rd. and Admiral Dr. while the London police bomb disposal unit was on scene.

Police say the bomb squad has since removed the package from the scene to a safe location to be disposed of. It is unknown at this time if the package posed a danger to the public.

The road has also been reopened to traffic and the area has been deemed safe by police.
