9/11 Commemoration Open to PublicSeptember 11, 2014 5:39am
On this 13th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, London first-responders will gather to remember their fallen brothers and sisters.
The London Professional Firefighters Association will hold a remembrance service at 10am at #1 Firehall, 400 Horton St. E to recognize firefighters who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 and those lost in local emergencies as well.
The service will be open to the public with doors opening at 9:30am.
In Manhattan, the annual commemoration will take place at Ground Zero with a solemn reading of the names of those who were killed in the attacks. For the first time, the new 9/11 museum will be open and One World Trade Center is nearly complete and set to open later this year.
