City Warns Of Discoloured Tap Water
You may have discoloured tap water in the coming days.
The City of London is inspecting an existing trunk water main that connects the Springbank Reservoir to the Arva Pumping station. This means other water mains will have higher than normal flow-rates, which could release rust from the surface.
Officials maintain that the water is safe to drink and there are no health risks associated with the slight yellow or red discolouration. However, it is reccommended that you avoid washing laundry.
It is expected the areas affected will be Richmond St., Maitland Ave., Wellington Rd. and Commissioners Rd.
The discolouration is expected to clear by September 18.
