Charges Laid After Street Fight

London police say two men are now facing charges after a brutal brawl Sunday morning.

Police were called to the area of Richmond St. and York St. around 3am. When they arrived, they found two men who had been injured in the fight.

Both were taken to hospital. One, a 21-year-old man, is in good condition in hospital and police say it’s expected he’ll be released sometime Monday. Police allege he was assaulted by 30-year-old Anderson Francis of Ilderton, who is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.

The other, a 43-year-old man, is still in critical condition in hospital. No arrest has been made in his assault.

A second arrest was made by police. Brandon Lord, 21,  of London is charged with assault and causing a disturbance by fighting. The man he is alleged to have assaulted did not go to hospital.

Police are still investigating, and are asking anyone with any information to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted online at
