Majors Lose Game 1 of IBL Finals

The London Majors managed to score first, but lost 5-2 to the Barrie Baycats in Game 1 of the Intercounty Baseball League finals.
The Majors started early, getting their first two runs in the first three innings. The first on a base hit from Chris Dennis, the second on a Baycats error.
The lead was short-lived though, as the Baycats drove in three in the bottom of the third inning.
London’s Deinys Suarez took the loss, pitching a complete game and giving up five runs on five walks and seven hits. Suarez had six strikeouts.
Game 2 goes Sunday, August 24 at 1pm, at Labatt Park.
