Second Appearance This Week For Gubbels

The man charged with murder in the deaths of his Warwick Township parents made his second appearance of the week at Sarnia courthouse this morning.

Jeremy Gubbels of London made another video appearance from the Elgin Middlesex Detention Centre and was remanded in custody to September 9 when he’s to appear again by video.

The 26-year-old is charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of his parents.

He was arrested July 13 shortly after the body of his father, 54-year-old Mario Gubbels, was found in London.

Earlier that night, the body of his mother, 55-year-old Susan Gubbels, had been found in her home in the 5800-block of Arkona Rd.

A ban has been imposed on the publication or broadcast of information given during the court proceedings.
