Corrected Unemployment Numbers Released

Statistics Canada has re-crunched the numbers from last week’s jobs report for the month of July.

It turns out 42,000 jobs were created nationally, instead of the mere 200 the agency reported.

The error also affected the city jobs numbers.

Windsor’s unemployment rate for July still improved from 9% in June to 8.7%. Stats Can originally reported it went down to 8.5%. London’s jobs numbers remain unchanged for the month at 7.4%.
