Driver Caught Going 150 km/h In A 60 km/h Zone

Middlesex County OPP say a driver’s vehicle was impounded after allegedly driving “way too fast while impaired.”

On Sunday morning at about 4am, a police officer clocked a car going in excess of 150 km/h in a 60 km/h zone in Middlesex Centre.

The officer was able to stop the car and allege the driver was drunk. The man was arrested and brought to the station for more tests.

Brandon Wedemire, 19, of London has been charged with the following:

  • Impaired driving under the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Driving with over 80 mg of alcohol in blood under the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Racing a motor vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act

Wedemire was released from custody and will appear in a London court on September 11 to answer to the charges.
