The morning after almost 2,000 people stood in silence in Greenway Park holding candles to support her family, London police say Danah McKinnon-Bozek is now listed in good condition in hospital.

She was eight months pregnant when she was hit by a car that backed into the front entrance of the South London Costco on July 25. On Thursday, her status was upgraded from fair to good condition. Police say good condition means her vital signs are stable, indicators are excellent and she is conscious and comfortable.

McKinnon-Bozek was given an emergency Cesarean section on Friday. Her newborn baby is still listed in critical condition.

On Wednesday, the status of her 3-year-old daughter Miah, was upgraded from critical to fair condition. Police say that means “indicators are favourable”.

There is still no word on whether police will lay charges in connection with the crash.
