Two Charged In Pharmacy Scam
Two people are facing charges after police allege someone was picking up pain medication under the name of a man who has been in police custody for five months.
On Monday, 34-year-old Stephanie Smith and 42-year-old Patrick Kellestine were arrested in St. Thomas after picking up the Hydromorphone.
St. Thomas Police allege Smith has been picking up the medication since the person it was prescribed to was taken into custody in February. They allege she has picked up 504 tablets of Hydromorphone with a street value of $12,600.
Smith is charged with thirteen counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of breaching her probation.
Kellestine is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of failing to comply with a recognizance.
