Majors End Regular Season With Big Win

London finished the season Monday night with a record of 23-13, a second place finish and a first round bye in the playoffs after beating the Guelph Royals 12-4
London jumped out to a 9-0 lead in the first inning and cruised the rest of the way. The Majors had nine hits in the first inning with Cleveland Brownlee picking up two of his five hits on the night in the first frame.
The Major’s Jordan Skavinsky had plenty of room to work with and took the win after a short four-inning start giving up two runs on three hits and four walks. Guelph’s Joseph Fincher lasted 2/3 of the first inning and was saddled with the loss after giving up nine runs on six hits and two walks.
In addition to Brownlee’s five hits, Paul Lamantia had four and Derek Strazlkowski three for London.
Guelph finishes the regular season with a record of 17-18 and enter the playoffs as the likely fifth seed. The league’s playoff schedule is HERE.
